The development was announced in a statement on Tuesday via the Navy’s official X handle, which warned that the individual is no longer part of the service.
“SMMEA UMA TU E5618 has been dismissed from the Nigerian Navy. The rating was found culpable of disobedience to particular orders and absence without official leave in line with the Armed Forces Act,” the statement read.
The Navy cautioned members of the public against dealing with the dismissed personnel under the assumption that he remains in service.
