Portsmouth goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor says she is excited about the prospect of making her competitive debut for the Super Falcons after receiving her first senior invitation ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Erhabor could make her first appearance for Nigeria when the defending champions face Malawi in their Group C opener, a match that would officially cap-tie her to the Super Falcons.
Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents and raised in England, the goalkeeper has been eligible to represent three countries internationally but appears set to commit her future to Nigeria.

Speaking to the Super Falcons media team, Erhabor said she was initially nervous after receiving the call-up before embracing the opportunity.
“I straight away called my mom and I told her about my call up. I was a bit nervous because I did not really know what to expect. But I am excited to step into the experience,” she said.
She also expressed her excitement about working alongside Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, whom she described as one of her biggest role models.
“It feels unreal. That is probably one of the people I really looked the most up to in women’s football. To get to train alongside her and learn from her, it is something really special,” Erhabor said.
She added that Nnadozie and former Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer have inspired her career.
Nigeria begin their WAFCON title defence against Malawi before taking on Zambia and Egypt in Group C as they chase another continental crown.
