President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Amaechi.
Dame Ezinne Amaechi died at the age of 89.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the late matriarch as a woman of deep faith whose life was defined by love, sacrifice and selfless service.
Tinubu praised her devotion to the Catholic faith, saying she upheld strong family values and raised children committed to public service.
He also noted that her humility, perseverance and kindness earned her widespread respect.
The President extended his condolences to Rotimi Amaechi, the Amaechi family, the Catholic faithful and the people of Rivers State, praying for the peaceful repose of her soul and comfort for all those mourning her passing.
Tinubu urged the bereaved family to draw strength from the enduring legacy of faith, dignity and service she left behind, describing her contributions to her family, the Church and society as lasting and inspirational.
