The United States military on Friday launched another round of strikes against Iran, marking the seventh consecutive night of military operations as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest strikes began at 1900 GMT and were intended to further weaken Iran’s military capabilities.
In a statement posted on X, the military said the operation was designed to “continue degrading Iranian military capabilities.”

CENTCOM did not immediately provide details of the targets, weapons used or the outcome of the operation.
The latest strikes come as the conflict between the United States and Iran continues to intensify, with both sides exchanging military action across the Middle East.
Previous US operations have targeted Iranian military infrastructure, including air defence systems, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance sites and other strategic assets.
The renewed military campaign has raised concerns about regional stability and the security of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transit routes.
As of Friday evening, Iranian authorities had not publicly commented on the latest strikes.
The continued exchanges have also fuelled international concern over the risk of a wider regional conflict.
