The Nigerian Center, in partnership with Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, has announced plans to host the inaugural Nigerian-American Festival, a three-day celebration of Nigerian culture in the United States.
The festival will be held from July 16 to 18 at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore County, Maryland.
Organisers said the event will showcase the richness and diversity of Nigerian culture through live music, cultural performances, authentic cuisine, interactive experiences, retail vendors and family-friendly activities.

As part of the partnership, Guinness Baltimore will also unveil a limited-edition beer that will be available exclusively at the brewery during the festival.
Executive Director of the Nigerian Center, Gbenga Ogunjimi, said the festival reflects the growing influence of Nigerian culture beyond the country’s borders.
“The Nigerian-American Festival reflects our belief that Nigeria’s story is larger than its borders. It lives through Nigerian Americans and resonates across the broader African diaspora, including African Americans and Afro-Latinos with shared ancestral and cultural ties to Nigeria,” he said.
Ogunjimi added that the partnership with Guinness Open Gate Brewery would create a platform where heritage, entrepreneurship and community come together to celebrate Nigeria’s cultural identity.
National Guinness Ambassador in the United States, Ryan Wagner, described the event as an opportunity to celebrate the strong relationship between Guinness and Nigeria.
“Guinness has a proud and enduring relationship with Nigeria, where generations of consumers have made the brand part of their celebrations and traditions,” he said.
The organisers expect the festival to attract visitors from across the United States while providing opportunities for Nigerian businesses, artists and cultural groups to showcase their talents and strengthen ties with the diaspora.
