Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to enter the race to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as they continue strengthening their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Reports indicate Spurs have approved plans to open negotiations and are considering an initial offer of around £65 million for the Nigerian international.
However, completing the deal could prove difficult, with Galatasaray reportedly valuing Osimhen at €150 million and the striker remaining under contract until 2029.
Tottenham have already spent heavily during the current transfer window and are now seeking a prolific striker to bolster their attack.
Osimhen has established himself as one of Europe’s leading forwards after winning the Serie A title with Napoli before helping Galatasaray claim back-to-back Turkish league titles.
The Nigerian has scored 107 goals in 145 appearances across all competitions over the last four seasons and boasts an impressive Champions League record of 16 goals in 27 matches.
His performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
Despite the growing speculation, neither Tottenham nor Galatasaray has officially confirmed negotiations, and the Turkish champions are expected to resist any attempt to sign their star striker unless their valuation is met.
