Liverpool’s difficult start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday as Fulham held them to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

The result extended Liverpool’s winless Premier League run at home to four matches, adding to the frustration around the defending champions’ early-season form.

Fulham, meanwhile, secured their first point of the campaign after losing their opening three matches.

Liverpool’s Team dominated the early stages and almost took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes when Alexander Isak was played through by Ryan Gravenberch.

The Swedish forward’s effort, however, went narrowly wide.

Fulham responded with a clear opportunity after Liverpool gave away possession inside their box. Gonzalo García failed to convert the chance, with Jérémy Jacquet clearing the effort off the line.

Victor Muñoz then saw his header saved by Bernd Leno, while Antonee Robinson headed wide as Fulham continued to threaten before half-time.

Liverpool resumed the second half on the front foot but again found Leno in their way.

The Fulham goalkeeper denied Isak before producing another save to keep out Dominik Szoboszlai as the visitors defended resolutely.

Fulham remained dangerous on the counter and almost snatched a late winner through Josh King.

His curling effort was saved by Alisson, ensuring Liverpool avoided a home defeat but could not claim the victory they needed.

The final whistle confirmed a frustrating 0-0 draw at Anfield.

The result leaves Liverpool struggling to maintain momentum in the early title race, while Fulham will take encouragement from a disciplined performance and their first point of the season.

For Liverpool, attention now turns to ending their disappointing home run and rediscovering the attacking sharpness that has been missing in recent league matches.
