Businessman Farooq Oreagba, widely known as “Mr Steeze,” has shared the dramatic rise and fall of his financial journey, revealing that he was a dollar millionaire at the age of 30 but found himself working as a labourer in England just five years later after losing his banking job.
Oreagba made the revelation during an appearance on the MENtality podcast hosted by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and co-hosted by singer Banky W, where the discussion focused on wealth, purpose, materialism and the true value of life.
During the conversation, Oreagba challenged Ebuka with a hypothetical question about whether he would accept $10 million if it meant having only 24 hours left to live, using the exchange to emphasise that life is ultimately more valuable than money.

Reflecting on his own experiences, Oreagba said he was a dollar millionaire at 30 before his fortunes changed after he lost his banking job while pursuing another dream.
To sustain his lifestyle, he said he took on different jobs, including working as a labourer in England, while outwardly maintaining the appearance of financial success.
According to him, the experience transformed his outlook on life, teaching him that health, family and meaningful relationships matter more than wealth or status.
Oreagba also noted that although his viral appearance at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival made him a national sensation, his lifestyle has remained largely unchanged.
He said the attention only brought public recognition to a life philosophy he had embraced long before becoming known as “Mr Steeze.”
