Fintech company OPay has expanded its physical footprint in northern Nigeria with the launch of a new office in Kaduna State, strengthening its push to deepen financial inclusion and improve access to digital financial services.
The office was officially opened on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, at an event attended by community leaders, business owners, merchants, and senior executives of the company.
The Kaduna facility adds to OPay’s growing network of physical and operational hubs across Nigeria, as the fintech intensifies efforts to bring financial services closer to customers and expand support for its fast-growing agent and merchant ecosystem.
Speaking at the launch, OPay’s Chief Operating and Technology Officer, Dotun Adekunle, said the new office reflects the company’s long-term commitment to improving access to secure and reliable financial services, particularly for underserved communities.
He described Kaduna as a vibrant commercial centre with a strong base of traders and small businesses, noting that the company’s presence would strengthen customer support and deepen engagement with local enterprises.
The new office will serve as a regional hub for customer service, merchant support, partnerships, and operational activities across Kaduna and surrounding areas.
OPay, which began operations in Nigeria in 2018, has grown into one of the country’s leading digital payments platforms, serving millions of users and merchants through its mobile wallet, agency banking and payment infrastructure.
The expansion comes amid rising adoption of digital payments in Nigeria, as fintech companies continue to play a growing role in expanding access to financial services, especially in underserved communities.
