The figures placed the La Liga side comfortably ahead of every other club represented at the expanded World Cup, with four Madrid players accounting for the club’s remarkable tally.
France captain Kylian Mbappé led the way with 10 goals to secure the tournament’s Golden Boot. England midfielder Jude Bellingham added seven goals, Brazil winger Vinícius Júnior contributed four, while Türkiye international Arda Güler scored once.
Together, the quartet produced 22 goals—more than any other club’s representatives during the tournament.
Paris Saint-Germain finished second in the rankings with 15 goals, led by Ousmane Dembélé’s six-goal haul and Bradley Barcola’s three strikes. Arsenal followed in third with 13 goals, while Bayern Munich claimed fourth place on 12 goals.
Inter Miami, Crystal Palace, Manchester United and Sunderland each recorded eight goals from their players during the tournament.
Lionel Messi scored all eight goals credited to Inter Miami, underlining his enduring importance for Argentina despite the South Americans losing in the final.
Although Real Madrid dominated the club goalscoring standings, Spain claimed the 2026 FIFA World Cup title after defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time. Barcelona forward Ferran Torres netted the winning goal to hand Spain its second World Cup crown.
