Actress and filmmaker Temi Otedola and singer Mr Eazi have announced that they are expecting their first child together, sparking excitement across social media and Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
The celebrity couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, posting a series of black-and-white maternity photographs that showed Temi cradling her baby bump while Mr Eazi stood beside her in an open field.
In one of the posts, Temi accompanied the photos with a biblical message: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
The announcement comes months after the pair quietly tied the knot in a series of private ceremonies held in Monaco, Dubai and Iceland in 2025. Reports at the time indicated that their main wedding ceremony took place at Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík, Iceland, attracting close family members and a small circle of friends.
The couple’s relationship has remained one of the most talked-about celebrity unions in Nigeria since they went public in 2017.

Mr Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, reportedly proposed to Temi in Venice, Italy, in April 2022 during the filming of the music video for his song “Legalise.” The proposal video later went viral online, with fans praising the pair’s chemistry and low-profile approach to fame.
Since then, both celebrities have largely kept details of their relationship away from public scrutiny, despite regularly appearing together at major international events and family gatherings involving billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
Temi, 30, gained wider recognition after starring as Moremi Oluwa in the 2020 Netflix-acquired film Citation, directed by Kunle Afolayan. Beyond acting, she has built a strong presence in fashion, lifestyle and digital influencing.

Mr Eazi, 34, is regarded as one of the leading figures behind the evolution of Afrobeats globally. He rose to prominence with hit songs including Skin Tight, Leg Over, and Pour Me Water, while also expanding into music business and tech investments through his emPawa Africa initiative.
Shortly after the pregnancy announcement was shared online, fans, celebrities and colleagues flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.

Several entertainment personalities, influencers and supporters described the development as a new chapter for one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples.
The announcement also quickly became a trending topic across Nigerian social media platforms, with many users praising the couple’s consistency and relatively drama-free relationship over the years.
Although neither Temi nor Mr Eazi disclosed the expected due date or the baby’s gender, the couple’s post has continued to attract massive engagement online.
The pregnancy news adds another milestone to what has been a significant period for the pair, following their wedding celebrations and growing influence in entertainment, business and pop culture conversations across Africa.
