The All Progressives Congress in Osun State says it has mobilised 10,000 members to conduct door-to-door campaigns for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party said the initiative was part of its grassroots mobilisation strategy to promote the President’s administration and secure support for his second-term ambition across the state’s 30 local government areas.
Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed this on Friday, saying arrangements had been concluded to inaugurate the canvassers in Osogbo.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, Lawal said the campaign would take the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration directly to residents through household engagements.
He said the party had mobilised approximately 10,000 members to participate in the exercise.
“We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State,” Lawal said.
He described the Federal Government’s economic reforms as measures capable of strengthening the economy and creating opportunities for future generations.
“The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving ways for strong generational wealth,” he added.
Lawal said the mobilisation was being coordinated by the party leadership with the support of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; the APC’s 2026 Osun governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji; and members of the State Executive Committee.
He added that the party had established structures to coordinate its campaign activities and pursue Tinubu’s return to office for a second term.
The APC chairman also addressed the emergence of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election.
Lawal said the party welcomed Adeleke’s reported commitment to working for the President’s second-term bid and expressed its readiness to collaborate with him.
“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” he said.
However, Lawal urged the governor to ensure that APC leaders and members were adequately represented in the campaign council.
He said incorporating relevant party stakeholders into the structure would strengthen coordination and help achieve the common objective of securing Tinubu’s re-election.
Beyond the presidential contest, the Osun APC chairman disclosed that the party had resolved to mobilise support for its candidates seeking election into the National Assembly and the Osun State House of Assembly.
He said the meeting also agreed to establish a separate campaign council to coordinate activities for the party’s legislative candidates.
According to him, APC structures at all levels would be deployed to drive voter mobilisation and other campaign activities ahead of the elections.
Lawal also commended Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his support for the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign.
The mobilisation initiative comes as political parties and support groups begin strengthening their grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC’s planned deployment of 10,000 canvassers is expected to focus on direct engagement with residents across Osun’s local government areas.
