Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of Dr Mann Ali as Chairman of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission, filling one of the vacancies created following the expiration of the tenure of the commission’s previous leadership.
The governor also approved the appointment of Mr Michael Oshodi as a member of the commission, according to a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The statement said both appointees are retired permanent secretaries who served in the Ondo State Public Service and bring decades of administrative experience to the commission.

According to the governor’s office, the appointments are intended to replace the former chairman, Mr Ajose Kudehinbu, and another commission member whose five-year tenure expired in June 2026.
Announcing the development, the statement said the governor had approved Dr Mann Ali’s appointment as chairman and Mr Michael Oshodi’s appointment as a member of the commission.
The government explained that the appointments became necessary following the completion of the statutory tenure of the outgoing officials, ensuring continuity in the operations of the Civil Service Commission.
The commission plays a central role in the administration of the state’s civil service, including appointments, promotions, disciplinary matters and other personnel management responsibilities affecting public servants.
The appointments are, however, subject to confirmation by the Ondo State House of Assembly before they become effective.
If confirmed, Dr Mann Ali will succeed Mr Ajose Kudehinbu as chairman, while Mr Oshodi will take office as a member of the commission.
The appointments are part of the Aiyedatiwa administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and maintain continuity in the management of the state’s public service institutions.
