Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Friday received the four victims rescued after their abduction during an attack on an examination centre in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area.
A video shared by TVC showed the governor welcoming the victims at the Government House in Lokoja alongside heads of security agencies who participated in the rescue operation.
The rescued victims include the principal of Government Secondary School, Olowa, Elder Daniel Iyanda, NECO official Solomon Peter and two female students abducted when armed kidnappers attacked the examination centre on Tuesday.

The victims were rescued on Thursday following a coordinated security operation involving the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, local vigilantes and other security personnel after Governor Ododo directed an intensive search.
Authorities have said security operations are continuing to arrest those responsible for the attack.
NECO defends school’s status
The National Examinations Council has also defended Government Secondary School, Olowa, rejecting claims that it is a “miracle centre.”
According to the examination body, the school is a legitimate public institution owned by the Kogi State Government and has existed for more than four decades.
NECO said the school has consistently presented candidates for the Senior School Certificate Examination since 2000 and remains a recognised examination centre.
Its clarification comes as police investigate allegations surrounding the use of the school after reports that the facility had earlier been closed because of security concerns.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing and anyone found to have violated the law will face prosecution.
