The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has publicly presented his twin sons during a colourful ceremony at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
A video shared by City Edge TV on Instagram on Friday showed the monarch seated at the palace while holding the two newborn princes, one in each hand.
He was surrounded by traditional chiefs, dignitaries, members of the royal household and well-wishers who gathered for the occasion.
Dressed in white traditional attire, a matching cap and red coral beads, the Ooni smiled as he carried the twins, who were also dressed in white outfits and small traditional caps.
The gathering provided a fresh public glimpse of the royal twins, whose arrival was announced by the monarch nearly four months ago.
On May 15, 2026, the Ooni announced the birth of the boys with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi.
The monarch described the arrival as a joyous occasion for the House of Oduduwa and said the mother and children were in good health.
The royal family later held a grand traditional naming ceremony at the Ile-Ife Palace on May 31.
The latest ceremony, however, centred on the public homecoming and formal presentation of the twins to members of the royal household, traditional leaders and other guests.
The palace grounds were filled with guests dressed in white traditional outfits, including agbadas, caps and coral beads.
The celebration offered the royal household another opportunity to publicly mark the arrival of the princes and bring them before traditional leaders and well-wishers.
The Ooni’s presentation of the twins adds to a series of public celebrations surrounding their birth and naming earlier in the year.
