The 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) premieres on Sunday, marking the return of Africa’s biggest reality television show with a record-breaking grand prize of ₦160 million.
MultiChoice Nigeria announced that the new season begins on July 26, 2026, with fresh housemates, new twists and bigger entertainment expected throughout the competition.
The launch show will air from 7:00 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family.
Viewers can also watch the 24-hour live broadcast on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49, while streaming will be available on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
The eventual winner will receive a prize package worth ₦160 million, comprising ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, making it the biggest prize in the history of the reality show.
Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, Atinuke Babatunde, said Season 11 would build on the programme’s legacy with bigger surprises, compelling personalities and fresh twists that would keep audiences entertained throughout the season.
Returning as host is Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who will once again oversee the live shows, nominations and evictions.
Preparations for the new edition began with physical auditions held in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu between May 22 and 24 after shortlisted applicants were invited.
Participation was free and open to Nigerians aged 21 years and above with valid means of identification.
The new season follows BBNaija Season 10, won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, who claimed a ₦150 million prize package after defeating 28 other contestants.
Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits available to customers who upgrade their subscriptions.
