Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a three-night concert residency at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, as part of celebrations marking his 15th year in music.
The singer unveiled “Oriadè: The Residency” on Friday, with performances scheduled for December 17, 18 and 19, 2026.
“LAGOS!!! We bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be,” Davido wrote while announcing the shows.
The announcement was accompanied by a promotional trailer featuring the singer performing before large crowds alongside scenes from Lagos and the National Theatre.
The residency will mark the first time an Afrobeats artiste holds a residency at the National Theatre.
Davido is expected to perform songs from his latest album, Oriadè, alongside tracks spanning his 15-year career.
The 13-track album features collaborations with artists including Black Sherif, Mayorkun, FOLA, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.
The December shows will take place during Lagos’ busy festive entertainment season and are set to bring Davido’s latest material to a Nigerian audience after an increasingly international career.
Davido began his professional music career in 2011 and rose to prominence with the hit single “Dami Duro”, which became a major turning point in his emergence on the Nigerian music scene.
He went on to release a string of successful records, including “Aye,” “If,” “Fall” and “Assurance,” while building an international audience through collaborations, tours and major performances.
The singer has also performed at some of the world’s major venues and events, including a headline concert at London’s O2 Arena in 2019.
His career has helped establish him as one of the leading Nigerian artists in the global Afrobeats movement.
The National Theatre residency will therefore serve both as a celebration of his latest work and a homecoming event marking a significant milestone in his career.
The three concerts are scheduled for December 17, 18 and 19, with tickets set to go on sale from September 25.
Davido’s return to Lagos for the three-night engagement is expected to form part of the city’s major December entertainment calendar, with the singer bringing together new music and some of the records that have defined his career.
