The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the names of successful candidates who participated in the 2024/2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise, paving the way for the next phase of the nationwide recruitment process.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, the Secretary to the Board, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jibril, announced that candidates who sat for the Online Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025 can now check their recruitment status through the board’s official recruitment portal.
The development affects applicants seeking employment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and the CDCFIB.
According to Jibril, successful candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of the exercise, which includes physical screening and document verification.
He directed applicants to visit the recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20 to verify whether they have been selected for the next phase.
Applicants are expected to log in using the application number generated during registration and follow the instructions provided on the platform.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to upload their credentials and select their preferred screening dates and venues.
The board stressed that all candidates must carefully comply with the procedures outlined on the portal to avoid disqualification.
Jibril also warned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters who may seek to exploit the recruitment exercise.
He reiterated that the entire recruitment process remains free of charge and urged candidates not to pay money to anyone claiming to facilitate shortlisting, screening venue allocation, document uploads or final selection.
CDCFIB further cautioned members of the public against fake recruitment messages, fraudulent websites and unauthorised persons presenting themselves as CDCFIB representatives.
According to the CDCFIB, all official information regarding the exercise will be communicated exclusively through the recruitment portal and approved official channels.
The recruitment exercise is one of the largest federal employment programmes in recent years, attracting applications from across the country.
Authorities say the process is designed to strengthen manpower across key paramilitary agencies responsible for border security, immigration management, correctional services, disaster response and internal security operations.
Jibril assured applicants and Nigerians that the board remains committed to transparency, fairness and merit in the conduct of the recruitment process.
He said the exercise is being carried out in line with established recruitment guidelines and government regulations aimed at ensuring equal opportunity for qualified candidates.
Applicants who participated in the CBT have been advised to promptly check their status and prepare the necessary documents ahead of the screening exercise.
