The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has restated the ruling party’s dedication to strengthening democracy, advancing national development, and expanding opportunities for young Nigerians.
In a message shared on his X account on Monday, Yilwatda said leadership within the party and the country must be exercised with integrity, humility, and a clear focus on progress. He noted that the APC aims to build structures that reflect the interests and expectations of citizens.
The chairman emphasised the need for unity within the party, describing a cohesive political organisation as essential for stability and effective governance. According to him, the APC is working to strengthen internal democracy and ensure members feel included in the party’s decision-making processes.
Yilwatda also highlighted the role of strong democratic institutions, transparency in governance, and accountability in public service. He said democracy functions best when institutions are respected, and citizens’ voices are acknowledged.
On youth development, he stated that empowering young Nigerians remains a priority for the party. He added that the country’s youth should be seen not only as future leaders but as active contributors to national progress.
The APC chairman further called for greater political inclusion and dialogue among Nigerians, stressing that the country’s diversity can serve as a foundation for unity when guided by mutual respect and cooperation.
He concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to reforms and innovation, expressing confidence that with unity and discipline, Nigeria can achieve sustainable growth and wider opportunities for its citizens.
