The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of its mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), offering a final chance to candidates affected by disruptions during the main exercise.
The Board said the mop-up exercise is strictly for candidates who were duly registered and biometrically verified but were unable to sit for the 2026 UTME, which was held between April 16 and April 23.
According to JAMB, some computer-based test centers recorded technical failures during the examination period, while others experienced biometric verification issues that prevented eligible candidates from writing the test. The Board also noted that some results were withdrawn following confirmed examination infractions.
The examination body described the mop-up test as the final phase of the 2026 UTME cycle, aimed at resolving all outstanding cases linked to the main examination.
“Affected candidates are hereby urged to print their Examination Notification Slips, familiarize themselves with their examination centers, and make all necessary arrangements ahead of the examination date, as there will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise,” the Board warned.
JAMB has directed eligible candidates to begin printing their examination notification slips from June 6, 2026, and to confirm their venues and examination details ahead of the exercise.
The Board reiterated that no additional mop-up or resit opportunity will be provided after the June 13 examination.
