The Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) has announced temporary road closures and special traffic arrangements in Ibadan ahead of the BOYE Nation/JAF Movement Concert scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2026.
The OYRTMA traffic plan is aimed at managing the expected influx of attendees and preventing congestion around the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, where the event will hold.
OYRTMA Chairman, Major Adekoya Adesagba (retd.), disclosed the arrangements during a briefing at the authority’s headquarters in the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, on Saturday.

Under the arrangement, VIP guests with valid event stickers or entry passes will park at Gate 2, while other attendees are expected to use the Recreation Field opposite Gate 3 in Sabo as the designated parking area.
Public Transport Service buses will be stationed at the recreation field to convey concertgoers to the venue.
Adesagba said Gates 1 and 3 would be strictly for pedestrians, with vehicles prohibited from passing through the two entrances.
The chairman also announced the temporary closure of two routes to vehicular traffic between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
The affected routes are the Danax route towards Sabo Recreation Junction and the Queen Cinema route towards Eko Tedo.
Motorists, commercial transport operators and residents in the affected areas have been advised to plan their journeys ahead and use alternative routes during the restriction period.
Adesagba said the measures were necessary because of the expected influx of people to the concert and were intended to minimise congestion while protecting motorists, pedestrians and other road users.
He assured residents that OYRTMA personnel would be deployed to strategic locations to monitor traffic movement and respond to any challenges before, during and after the event.
The chairman also appealed to residents, motorists and concert attendees to cooperate with traffic officials and other security agencies.
The BOYE Nation/JAF Movement Concert is scheduled to take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, on Monday. The event is expected to combine music and entertainment with youth mobilisation and political engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
Reports on the event indicate that the gathering will also provide a platform for the formal declaration of Boye Nation and the JAF Movement for the Allied Peoples Movement.
Organised under the Young, United and Unstoppable platform, the programme is expected to attract young people from across Oyo State for music, entertainment, networking and political engagement.
With a large turnout anticipated, OYRTMA has urged motorists who do not have business at the venue to avoid the affected corridors during the restriction period and follow all traffic signs and instructions from its officers.
